Our highest rated and most popular dating site eHarmony has recently moved to the top of our charts as the best dating site in Canada, surpassing both Match.com and be2. They've gained this position because of the growing MASSIVE number of Canadian singles on the site. eHarmony is most popular in Toronto (GTA), Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary - which is not surprising considering they are the largest cities in Canada. However, it's safe to say they are the most popular across the country. eHarmony uses their patented 29 dimensions of compatibility which is based on over 35 years of extensive research on successful relationships. They use a proven scientific approach to match highly compatible singles and are responsible for 542 marriages a day in the US alone! eHarmony offers a variety of niche dating preferences including: Asian dating, black dating, Hispanic dating, Christian dating, senior dating, and gay and lesbian dating.
They have secured themselves as a household name in the online dating scene and have learned from the mistakes of the older (slower to change) dating sites. eHarmony has grown their number of users incredibly fast due to their extensive marketing, success rate, and the very feature-rich experience they provide.

Match.com is one of the most well known dating site around. Match.com started in 1995, pioneering the online dating world. Since then they have become a household name of dating sites in Canada. There is a large number of Canadian singles using Match.com (they don't publish the exact number) but overall there are more Canadians on eharmony. Features include free writing sections, profiles allowing 26 photos, and options to specify what you’re looking for in a relationship. Match.com also allows for English and French searches. Match is a great dating site in Canada, but isn't as cutting edge, social or as large as eharmony.
In the past Match.com has claimed to be responsible for twice as many marriages than any other online dating site equaling a 4% of marriages in the United States! eharmony has now surpassed this.

be2 is less of a household name in the internet dating world but that doesn't mean it's not worth checking out. Although it's more popular in the UK, it's growing in Canada - especially with people over the age of 35. be2 offers a great $5 trial is a great opportunity to try out all of the premium features of the site (Note: If you wish to cancel the membership during the trial, you need to do so 7 days before the end of the trial. Otherwise you will be charged. This gives you 3 weeks to decide if be2 is for you!).
The $5 trial is great, but don't forget to cancel it if you change your mind!

What we like about Chemistry.com: 1. The compatibility algorithm is decent, showing matches who you may actually be interested in (eharmony's patented system shows far better results, in our opinion). 2. The site has an easy to navigate layout. Chemistry.com is an ok site for daters and used to appeal to a more mature crowd. These days their popularity is decreasing and therefore there are less Canadians on the site.
Chemistry.com is a dating site created by a team of people who worked for Match.com. Chemistry.com claims to match people looking for long-term relationships based on compatibility and chemistry – hence the site being called Chemistry.com. An algorithm (created by Helen Fisher) is used to match Canadian singles with an ideal mate.

The Duet Total Compatibility System does an ok job at matching singles. The problem is there aren't as many Canadians using this site as there once was. In it’s heyday, PerfectMatch.com was once featured on Dr. Phil and The Today Show. Now sites like eHarmony and Match dominate the online dating scene and the media's attention. Their matchmaking system is based on over 30 years of research.
PerfectMatch.com’s day has come and gone. If you looking to be successful in the online dating world, then try one of the other sites listed above.
